1. Defence lawyer's prayer

Lord, in your immense wisdom you decided to divide reporting judges into four categories:

1) those who read and understand:

may they remain with us as long as possible!

2) those who do not read but understand:

may they be granted the ability to read!

3) those who read but do not understand:

may the mists that shroud their minds be cleared, so that they may understand!

4) those who do not read and do not understand:

may we be free and rid of them!

Amen.

 2. Who can do? 

The true story of how work is performed in law offices… sic! 

This is the story of four lawyers named Everyone, Someone, Anyone and Nobody. 

There was an important job to do, and Everyone was asked to do it.

Anyone was sure that Someone would do it, but Nobody did. 

Someone got angry because of this, since it was Everyone's job. 

Everyone thought Anyone could do it, but Nobody realised that Everyone would not do it. 

It ended up that Everyone blamed Someone when Nobody did what Anyone could have done.
